History club holocaust project

Over the last three months students from the Gilberd’s History Club have been working on an exhibition for the Dora Love Prize awarded, each year for the best Holocaust awareness project. This year’s theme was ‘Torn from Home’.

Six Gilberdians - Dinesh Rajoo, Adam Law, Elysia Maghoo, Megan Ball, Dylan Manning and Milo Griffiths –presented their highly reflective project in front of a prestigious judging panel on Wednesday evening at the University of Essex. The students gave a very confident presentation of their highly original exhibition. The students also listened to 90 year old Holocaust survivor, Frank Bright, who was sent to Auschwitz Frank Bright has featured in the BBC 2 documentary The Last Survivors, which was screened on Holocaust Memorial Day.
