Support & Enrichment Activities

Keeping active has never been more important for both our physical and mental well-being.  With this in mind we have acquired access to enrichment challenges and resources for all Gilberd students and their families to help us cope in these challenging times and focus on positives. Each of these are OPTIONAL.  They are designed as enrichment tasks and are there for you to complete and use as you wish.

ICIA
This programme has been created to support you through the current Covid-19 crisis. By working through the ‘I Can, I Am’ Resilience Programme you will be supported to learn and build five key personal skills: communication, self-belief, team work, self-management and problem solving.  The programme challenges you to build these skills through completing learning, demonstrating skills through activities and reflecting on how you have built these skills. Ultimately you will be prepared to make a difference to your community when we are settling into the new future post Covid-19.  As part of ‘I Can, I Am’ you will be asked to make a pledge of positive actions as a ‘Community Builder’ and carry these out so that you become a part of the solution for the new future.  You will also be able to use the challenges within this programme towards achieving your PiXL Edge.  This is an accredited course, meaning that you will achieve a certificate upon completion and can be used on CV’s and post-16 applications. For more information or to register your interest, please contact your PE Teacher.
