Free careers-related guide for parents

Following on from National Careers Week, I'm dropping a note to let you know that our free 12 page "A Guide For Parents: Steering your teenager toward a job and career" is now available for parents to download.

The major contributors were Nick Newman, of National Careers Week and myself, founder of, with additional contributions coming from the John Lewis Partnership, as a major employer.

I wondered if you'd be able to advise your relevant parents of the details so that they can obtain a copy? The intention is to help them get their teenagers moving in way that helps them access careers information and services more proactively. We believe that the information is directly relevant for parents of pupils / students who will be leaving this year or next.

* There is a link to the page for them here - (
* Or, there's a link to a PDF flyer here - (

If you'd like to review a copy of the guide, please let me know and I can email one by return. Any comments would always be welcome.

Thank you again, and with kind regards,
