



On Wednesday 16th April 31 students and 4 teachers arrived from our German Exchange school in Bitburg, Rheinland Pfalz, to spend a week with us on the return leg of the school exchange.Having already spent a week in Bitburg in September last year everyone was keen to see the German group again.

This years School Production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat ran inclusively between the 5th-9th of February. It was another fantastic performance, stay tuned for pictures and reviews.

This year's Poppy Appeal raised £163.46p. Without everybody's support The Royal British Legion would be unable to continue their vital welfare and benevolent work.
The final total number of show boxes donated by The Gilberd School were 638.
On the last day of the school Autumn Term, Wednesday 19th December 2007, the school will close at 1:30pm. Buses to Wivenhoe and Elmstead Market will be at the school at 1:30pm. Unfortunately, the No. 9 and No. 69 buses cannot change their schedules. Students will either need to make their own way home or they can be supervised at the school until 3.15pm. If you want your child to stay at school until 3.15pm, please contact the school office by Monday 17th December. Otherwise we shall assume your child will leave site at 1.30pm
For those Students who require a meal, cold lunches will be available in the canteen. However, all free school meals should be claimed for at breaktime.
The Gilberd sports Personality of The Year Award is being held on Wednesday 12th December at 7.30 in the PA block
