Further to my letter dated 18th March 2010, I am writing to confirm the arrangements that the school has in place to support your son/daughter’s revision in the final week before half term.
The week of 24-28th May we expect all students to attend the history lessons on the timetable below. If any clash with exams then the students should attend another history teacher’s class instead.
As Year 11 approach their GCSE examinations, I felt that it would be useful for me to write to you with relevant information relating to the weeks leading up to this important event. Please find attached therefore a copy of the timetables for the forthcoming practical, oral and written GCSE examinations. I would suggest that you keep these in a prominent place in your home.
You may be aware that we are going to produce a Yearbook for the class of 2010 leavers. The book will be a wonderful keepsake and aims to capture a special time in your child’s life.
It gives us great pleasure to invite your child to The 2010 Gilberd School’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ Ball. The evening will celebrate the end of the GCSE examinations and five years of hard work. This year the Ball will take place on Thursday 8th July 2010 at The Essex Golf and Country Club.
Following the results of your son/daughter’s mock examinations and with their GCSEs fast approaching, we very much hope you will attend to meet subject staff and tutors to discuss their progress.
Following discussions with our Governors and staff, i am writing to you regarding the school's policy on holiday requests during term time for Year 10 and Year 11 students
