These rules are to help you to make the most of your examinations.It is important that you know where you should be and when, and what you should and should not have with you.
For four days (26th – 29th February) you will be on study leave and only expected to come to school for your exams.For exams during periods 1 and 2 you should line up in the main dining hall at 8.45am.For exams during periods 3 and 4 you should line up in the main dining hall at 11.20am.For art exams you should line up outside the art room at 8.45 and 11.20.The Science module tests will be held the week after the other exams, on Wednesday March 5th.
You should be in full school uniform for all exams. You will be allowed to leave coats and bags in the indoor changing rooms, but the school cannot be responsible for the safety of any items left there.Do not leave valuables in the changing rooms – if you must bring valuable items to school you should lock them in your locker during the exams.
All exams are subject to strict rules about what you should and should not do.These rules are set out by the examining boards and failure to obey them can have serious consequences.These are some of the important rules.
You must be on time for all examinations.If you are late, your work may not be accepted.
You must not become involved in any unfair or dishonest practice in any part of the examination.
If you try to use any unfair practice, or break the rules in any way, you could be disqualified form all your subjects.
You may take into the examination room only the materials and equipment which are allowed.You must not take into the examination room any unauthorised materials or equipment which might give you an unfair advantage, such as notes, calculator cases/instruction leaflets, bags, personal TVs/stereos, electronic or radio communication devices, including mobile telephones, iPods and MP3 players.Any pencil cases taken into the room must be see-through.Possession of unauthorised material is breaking the rules, even if you do not intend to use it, and you will be subject to possible disqualification.
You must not use correcting fluid/correcting pens, highlighters or gel pens on your answer paper. Write in black or blue ink only. For Science module tests you must only usea BLACK ballpoint pen.
You must not talk to, or otherwise communicate with or disturb other candidates once the examination has started.
You must not borrow anything from another candidate during the examination.
